30-Day Language Challenge

Hey, Alizah here. Today I’m going to talk about a tiny change you can make in your life to improve your language skills drastically in just 30 days. With the right tools and resources, it won’t drag on for years like it does when you’re learning a language in school. Instead, it will be quite enjoyable.

Everyone on the MosaLingua team has learned several languages and we can all say with certainty that the key to success is consistency. It’s better to put in five minutes everyday then an hour every once in a while.  But how can you be consistent? A super powerful technique to develop consistency is to use the power of habit.

Learning a new language means making some changes in your life when it comes to the amount of time that you dedicate to your learning. A habit is something you don’t need to force yourself to do, it comes naturally, almost automatically. Brushing your teeth, taking a shower, getting dressed. These are all habits that you’re probably quire familiar with. So my recommendation is to turn language learning into a habit. How?

By taking the 30 day challenge. 30 days doesn’t seem like a long time so it’s easy to get started and our instincts tell us that we would be able to make it through at least that amount of time. You’ll actually be tricking your subconscious, because if you make it through 30 days, you’ll form a habit and once you form a habit, it’ll be much easier to keep going. For example, you could challenge your subconscious to learn ten new words a day for 30 days or watch just 10 minutes of news in your intended language. By the end of the 30 days, you’ll have formed a habit and continuing with it will become much more natural. The few times I’ve tried this it really blew me away! I’m serious, get started right now! The 30 day challenge can really change your life.

Thanks to your new habit, you’ll have the consistency you need to learn a little bit each day and you’ll be well on your way to mastery and all the doors that learning a new language opens for you. Watching this video is a good first step, but it won’t make you bilingual over night. To really notice a change in your life, challenge yourself to 30 days, starting now! Thanks for watching guys, see you next time!
