App Product Owner

We’re looking for the right person to take our multi million-user language-learning app to the next level.
The ideal candidate will oversee the complete redesign of our application with our team of UX/UI designers, web/mobile developers, and pedagogical director.

You will be responsible for international growth in order to best respond to our KPIs (including visits, members, and subscribers), positioning our platform as an undisputed industry leader and to ensuring strong, continuous international growth.

Passionate, efficient and precise, you’ll ensure that our roadmap is met by intelligently overseeing your team. Working in close collaboration with our Director of Products and Marketing Director, you’ll demonstrate originality, creativity, and strive to always bring new, actionable ideas to the table.

Your job

  • Understand the need for our applications to evolve
  • Conceive of and build users stories and wireframes (Jira, Asana)
  • Leverage existing users to guide our redesign (questionnaires, focus groups, etc.)
  • Overseeing testing and production launch
  • Copywriting, in collaboration with our pedagogical and marketing directors
  • Actively engage with our community of users (emails, FB, notifications, etc.)
  • Oversee and analyze a variety of conversion channels
  • Oversee and analyze effective acquisition campaigns
  • Manage customer relations with subscribers (SendInBlue)
  • Coordinate with internal production teams (ASO/SEO team, language acquisition team, design team, etc.)


  • Type of employment: Permanent employment contract or freelance
  • Education: Undergraduate or higher, with at least 3 years’ experience as product owner (ideally in e-commerce or, better still, mobile applications)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience (web marketing)
  • Good level of English (our team is international, with English as the lingua franca)
  • Bonus: You have already personally used a language-learning app or have worked in mobile app development.

Senior Lead Developer

MosaLingua is currently experiencing accelerated growth and development. In this context, we’re looking for a new senior lead developer, with both front and backend knowledge.

You’ll join a talented, diverse team of UX/UI designers, product owners, experienced front and backend mobile developers, DevOps, and more than a few jacks of all trade.

The right candidate will work directly on our fast-growing Web and Mobile language-learning app, MosaLingua, used by millions of learners around the world.

Your goal will be to stabilize existing versions (in collaboration with our current development team), all while overseeing our transition to a stable new architecture.

You’ll work in close collaboration with:

  • The original application’s fully remote, international team: a mobile developer (web), backend Java developer, and a web/wordpress developer.
  • Our remote and on-site team in Lyon
  • Our CTO, the product owner, and our pedagogical and marketing director.

You will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing the existing system, in particular the database, APIS, and code (HTML/CSS/JS for the mobile app and Java for the backend) to build a functionality map of the current platform.
  • Determining the steps and building the tools necessary to export current data to a proprietary standard format.
  • Participating in the development of new components and the integration of new solutions.
  • Serving as the technical reference for our language-learning platforms
  • Improving the existing backend (JS/Java/PostresSQL) as necessary.

Below is an ideal profile, but we are willing to adapt for the right candidate.

  • Employment type: Permanent employment contract or freelance
  • You speak English fluently (you will manage a small, remote team of different nationalities, with English as the lingua franca)
  • You’re interested in language acquisition (ideally, you are currently learning or have learned a new language using a mobile app or e-learning solution)
  • Senior developer with broad industry knowledge, familiar with JS, Java, SQL, and having a good working knowledge of DevOps. Experience in mobile development is not essential, but it should interest you.
  • You aim for simplicity, even if it’s often difficult, and you are willing to lead the fight against needless complexity.
  • You strive for the highest standards of technical coherence, all while taking into account the constraints of existing versions and costs.
  • You are deeply passionate about new technologies and new frameworks.
  • You are highly autonomous, but with strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are comfortable working with remote, international teams.
